For many years writer Robert O’Byrne has been exploring Ireland’s architectural heritage. In 2012 he set up a site dedicated to this subect – theirishaesthete.com – which ever since has been updated thrice weekly. Earlier this year, he published a book of his photographs and texts, ‘The Irish Aesthete: Ruins of Ireland’.
As the country’s largest county, Cork features prominently both in this work and on his site. Robert will discuss some of the properties he has visited in the area, and discuss the histories of the buildings and their owners.
